The work, called Envy, oil on canvas, year 2005, dimensions 160X85.1 cm, represents Envy, one of the seven Deadly Sins. The malice of the envious that can be glimpsed behind the faces of the two lovers envelops their kiss in an acrimonious embrace and unites all the figures broken down into a myriad of colored brushstrokes in a single body. The painting was exhibited in San Diego and New York at the prestigious Walker Fine Art Gallery before becoming part of a private collection.
