Clutch bag The juggler
Clutch bag The juggler
The work, oil on wood, 2006, is a tribute to his great historical friend Patch
Adams, the American doctor known for clown therapy who, having fallen in love with
Mirkò ceramics exhibited in a gallery in Amalfi during his visit to Italy,
convinced that art has a healing power and can stop suffering,
deeply struck by the vibrant strength of Mirkò's work, he selected
immediately two ceramic vases to include in his collection of objects
of art to use as therapeutic tools for his patients in the hospital.
The painting, in the artist's typical style, represents the Juggler dispensing care
and of love surrounded by as many figures broken down into myriads of colors and it seems
summarize the doctor's eternal thoughts expressed in his recent letter
to the artist from Vietri: "Relax, you are alive and you are not alone".
