The envious malevolence that can be glimpsed behind the faces of the two lovers envelops their kiss in a spiteful embrace and unites all the figures broken down into myriads of colored brushstrokes into a single body. The painting was exhibited in San Diego and New York at the prestigious Walker Fine Art Gallery before becoming part of a private collection.
