The work called "Return: the Goddess Pele", the Goddess of the Kilauea volcano, creator and destroyer, created in 2009 on the occasion of the exhibition "Children of the Gods", at the Hilo Art Museum in Hawaii (USA), is part of a trilogy together with the two works "Tefte" and "Escape" linked together by the same myth that warns of respect for nature. In the fantastic books of Hawaii, the Goddess protects the immense beaches of the coast that are born from her tears and which are invaded every year by local citizens but, above all, by tourists who take away the green crystals. Legend has it that misfortune will befall anyone who dares to steal one of these minerals from their land and this misfortune will be inflicted directly by the Goddess who governs the lava, venerated for centuries up to the present day, as the spirit of the volcano and the most famous deity of the Hawaiian Islands.
